ITIS offer many opportunities to problem solve and work with your hands. With training and coursework, you’ll gain a high level of technical skills to prepare you for a job as an industrial maintenance technician or industrial machine operator. Training will include an introduction to electrical motors and safety, control devices and power systems. Blueprints, rigging and lifting, and computer-aided design is also part of the curriculum. Hands-on experience in a machine shop provides on-the-job training. With additional education and/or work experience, you can grow in your position.
